Location is super quaint! Beautiful Salon and people were friendly and kind. My stylist did an amazing job with my hair cut! Received compliments! There's a Coupon for first visit.

I’ve had very mixed experiences here. I’ve gotten my hair trimmed/waxes here before and they did well.However recently I went here to schedule an appointment for my wedding hair. First I scheduled a trial and my stylist cancelled twice over the span of about a month. At this point it was only two weeks before my wedding and they couldn’t fit me in with another “senior stylist” so I went with another random stylist and understood appointment would be free of charge for the inconvenience. However once the trial was done (it took almost 3 hours and still wasn’t quite right) I still had to pay 95+ tip as apparently only the hair cut was free (25) and I still was expected to pay for the styling.Then we get to my wedding day and I am supposed to have a senior stylist but was cancelled on a THIRD time the day of my wedding and was only told once I arrived at the salon. The same girl who did my trial did my wedding hair and I didn’t complain much because who wants to complain on their wedding day. My bridal party also got their hair done and it was all beautiful but mine took an extra hour compared to my bridal party even though I requested a very very simple style , just curls and a little bit pinned back, and it came out very poorly despite me trying to steer the stylist in the right direction. I had to redo my hair completely afterwards even though I paid over 100 for my hair. I curled it myself and had a wedding guest who happened to do hair help me style it. Took less then 20 minutes and was perfect when we did it ourselves.After the wedding I looked back at the photos they took at the salon and I can’t believe they let me walk out like it was! Totally falling out, messy, asymmetrical and bobby-pins showing (Photos from the salon and by the time I got home)About 3 weeks after my wedding when all the celebrations were done we called this salon back to explain what happened and ask for a partial refund or at least something. My mother who called was accused of “extortion” by the owner when she said she was calling before I posted this review… which is an honest review and we wanted to give them a chance to right it before complaining online. Then we were told we should have planned my wedding further out which has nothing to do with them messing up my hair so much. In the end they said they would call us back and it’s been 4 days now.Overall really disappointing, This was the most stressful part of my whole wedding. They should have done more to compensate me or at least done my hair well… this was my WEDDING hair for crying out loud.

I had a wonderful time getting my hair done! Definitely pick Sarah as your girl, she’ll hook you up!!The place is very clean and pretty affordable for Pittsford Village🥰

Beautiful people all the way around.Kind and generous with service that is always great. Great atmosphere in a spot next to the canal and food. It's 35 bucks for a cut but it's still cheaper than my shrink and I always feel better.

The salon is very clean. The staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make you feel beautiful. I love the way Chelsea does my hair.

Very highly recommended Andrea! She cut my hair and did highlights my first couple times going here and did an amazing job. The most satisfied i’ve been with a hairdresser!!

I went to this salon in 2018 to have my balayage touched up. I’d been having balayage done for a while but had gone to a different salon for it. Decided to give tru salon a try. The stylist applied the lift upon washing it out she discovered that my hair hadn’t taken the lift. It looked like nothing had been done to my hair. She claimed that this was normal and I’d have to come back for another try. The salon then made me pay full price. I didn’t say anything at the time bc the reality of it all hadn’t sank in. However I am not sure why I was supposed to pay full price for something that is arguably the stylists fault. I have never had this happen at any other salon so to me it doesn’t seem normal. I never went back.

Always amazing! Since going there my hair has gotten 1000000% healthier and grown while constantly getting highlights. They have made my hair healthy again and recommended amazing products!

Had my first visit to a salon here in Pittsford. Up until now I had used various barber shops here & in Webster. I was very impressed with my experience with Alex. She was friendly, paid attention to my requests, answered my questions and overall did an excellent job.

My first experience at tru was a haircut and styling by Chelsey. It was wonderful! I enjoyed every minute even though she used a process that was new to me. The results are a new hairstyle that I love! The only thing that will impede future visits is the handicapped access. It will be very difficult for me to navigate in slippery weather.

I had super amazing time with my stylist Chelsey.. it’s was my first time and I enjoy so much my experiences .every one seems very friendly and professional..I absolutely love my hair . Chelsey was super Bubbly ,fun , talented and sweetheart and she loves her career as hair artist .. I highly recommend her to anyone, you wont’t be disappointed . you will love your hair as well. I am definitely coming back .

Always a great experience/service at salon, just wish the price did not fluctuate so much between stylists. Seems like each one I get charges as much, if not more, than the last (and I don't always get told). Especially when I ask for the same exact thing each time I go. (January I think it was $53 with tip. This month it was $61.)

Excellent experience - I went with my sister and her other bridesmaids to get our hair and makeup done for her wedding. They did an *amazing* job. They weren't cheap, but you truly got what you paid for. Top-notch service, friendly people, *excellent* work. Alex did my hair, and did an efficient, stunning job (she did just as well following photographs and letting her customer say "surprise me"). Other members of our party also had their makeup done, and they looked amazing. I cannot recommend this place highly enough.
